U8 PROGRAM

“The game is the best teacher. You learn from playing.”
– Pep Guardiola

Birth Year: 2016 & 2017

The U8 program provides a fun and positive environment for kids to learn basic soccer concepts and be introduced to small sided games. Kids will learn through fun drills that keep them moving while giving each player lots of touches on the ball.  They will also play!  Through playing games, players will continue to build on their skills while also learning about teamwork and sportsmanship.

How it works: Players will be divided into coed teams and receive a jersey for their team.  Each week their team will practice together (Tuesday) and play a small sided 5v5 game against another team on Thursday.  There may be additional optional opportunities to play in some rec games in Montrose as well.

Parent Volunteers:  In order to make this program possible, we need parent volunteers! No soccer experience is needed, we just require a fun positive attitude.  There will be a parent orientation for our volunteers to go over what a practice might look like and provide you with some basic soccer knowledge.  Click here to learn more about how to register as a volunteer.
